yeah, i was a comic artist and LiaL was a comic project. these were one of my attempts like… 10 years ago or even more. i just cleaned up the scans and translated them to English, since originally the text was written in Indonesian.

before you read it all. I WARN YOU, this is a BAD comic, it’s lame, it got no story to be told except “Ciel is coming”, and the jokes are not even funny. so if you really have patience and some time to kill, then give it a shot and judge for yourself.
i’m not even ashamed to share this anymore, since this is too old i felt like it was not me writing this haha. (i have more older stuff to share later when i’m have the mood)
why i’m sharing this now?
haha, can’t do another char redesign since my old document’s are not with me at the moment, so i decide to share something else. i also think anyone would be curious enough to face their prototype shape. despite being a bad comic, i had lot of fun writing them, interacting, talking and drawing their expressions. i had no other media back then, to express my characters.
what did i realize?
the way i see them bad now, i think i should be grateful because that means my storytelling standard is getting better. :v
now i know why i’m bad with storytelling, because i didn’t let people proofread my story, i closed myself with my own characters, and silently hoped that would be awesome because i have talent, and that’s all i need to pull out a masterpiece. i always thought my characters will be lovely, but they all turned out to be only self-satisfying characters who couldn’t tell a story. i never been so wrong.
i only had like 5 person voluntarily read the whole strip and i knew they didn’t seem interested. i knew it was bad, but i was failed to move on to fix this error, yet i burnt myself without doing anything useful.
i realized i (most likely) have no talent or a good sense for this, but i believe sense and talent develops when you do them regularly :D
